旱地春小麦新品系79121-15是由定西地区旱农中心经过多年选育的优质高产小麦新品系.1993年7月中旬经甘肃省科委组织省内外有关专家进行技术鉴定.达到国内外先进水平.旱地春小麦新品系79121-15于1979年用[76102-1-6X定西3号×68-1420)]作母本,定西24号作父本复合杂交选育而成.1985—1991年参加品比试验,平均亩产153.9公斤,较对照增产13.7%;1991—1993年定西地区区试,平均亩产210.5公斤,校对照增产17.4%;北方(中片)全国区试,平均亩产171.5公斤,较对照增产16.5%;1991-1993年生产示范种植1432亩,平均亩产231.8公斤,较当地品种增产24.5%.1993年在甘肃定西地区、白银、会宁及宁夏西吉等县示范种植46537亩.
