In the field of engineering and medicine, many parameters need to be monitored, such as vibration, temperature, blood pressure, rotational speed, large motor current, etc. of important equipment. If you observe for a long time, you get huge amounts of data, which can take a long time to analyze the signal. This article describes a color chart technique used to help analyze signals, and discusses the principles and procedures for processing color images. This technique has been validated in sleep research and has developed a color map tool called Sleep Observation that contains several different types of color maps. Because people are sensitive to differentiated images, the sleep phase can easily be discerned from the image. For a sleep signal displayed in a two-dimensional waveform, it took two days to analyze the 8-h sleep signal and it took only 10 minutes to process and read the color map.
