The view of yin and yang is an ancient viewpoint in Chinese philosophy, a fundamental view of China. In ancient China, neither sentimentalists, such as Mencius and Wang Yangming, used yin and yang as the basis for their moral theory. In fact, however, the concept of yin and yang in China can provide a satisfactory basis for Western emotionalism, Confucianism and neo-Confucianism in the 18th century. In emotional ethics, Yin can be understood as accepting ability, Yang can be understood as a rational goal of orientation, both have the necessary complementarity. Yin and Yang can be considered as the basis of moral and emotionalism in the individual and overall sense. Emphasis on the ability to accept can be gradually transformed into the belief of yin and yang norms, so that emotional ethics into a normative emotionalism.
