连续3年对庆丰和燕红桃树进行研究,结果表明,与传统的“短枝修剪”树相比较,“长枝修剪”树树体营养生长反应具有如下几个特点:(1)营养生长势缓和,新梢总生长量小,每一新梢平均长度短;(2)早期叶面积形成快,叶面积大,在整个生长季节里有较大的叶面积;(3)1年生结果枝的更新方式属于一种趋“基生枝”类型(较长新梢发生在枝条基部),而“短枝修剪”树1年生枝条的更新方式属于一种趋“顶生枝”类型(较长新梢发生在枝条上部或顶部);(4)具有良好的树体更新能力,1年生枝条上抽生的更新梢靠近枝轴,且树体内膛2年生和多年生骨干枝上由潜伏芽抽发新梢的能力强。因此,桃树上使用“长枝修剪”后,树体更新能力得到改善。此外,还对在“长枝修剪”条件下树体保留一年生枝的长度和姿势与新梢生长及更新状况进行了研究。
