我的父母王子云、何正璜是20世纪初的知识青年。在国家责任与民族道义面前,放弃了个人爱好、理想和成名的追求,放弃了一条通往辉煌成功的坦途,走上了一条艰难寂寞清贫之途。而这条开拓性的崎岖之路不仅耗费了他们毕生的精力,搭上了整个家庭的不幸,而且并不为世人所知、所认可、所称道。但他们努力奋斗,始终无怨无悔地奉献,走完了自己多难而充实的一生。这种中国知识分子的高尚情操和人格精神是我们后人的一笔巨大精神财富,在今天发扬它显得尤为必要。
My parents, Prince and Yun, are young intellectuals of the early 20th century. In the face of the national responsibility and national morality, we have given up the pursuit of personal preference, ideals and fame. We have given up the road to glory and success and embarked on a path of loneliness and poverty alleviation. This pioneering and rugged road not only cost their lifelong energy, catch the misfortune of the entire family, but not for the world, recognized, praised. However, they worked hard and always gave their lives without any regrets. They finished their difficult and fulfilling lives. The noble sentiments and personality of such Chinese intellectuals are a great spiritual asset to our posterity and it is even more necessary to carry forward it today.
