近几年来,茶牡蛎蚧在我省茶区普遍发生,为害严重,给茶叶生产带来很大的损失。茶牡蛎蚧,虫小、蔓延快、为害大,它可使大面积茶园为害成枯枝,无茶可收。有些茶园,虽从表面上看,只有零星枯死,但这类茶园,若不及时加强防治,在二、三年内就有可能成片死亡,甚至使整个茶园为害成枯枝。为控制茶牡蛎蚧的发生,保护茶树正常生长,现将其形态、习性、发生原因及防治措施简介如下。
