在1980的时代,尚扬在艺术上的转型是惊世的,是他那一代人中仅有的。虽然当时有一批“八五新潮”的年轻人,但那都是他的学生辈。凭借他研究生毕业时的作品,一种主流形态的油画,尚扬已是在全国有影响的油画家了。声名已就的他,在艺术上却来了一个急转身,与当下主流的、流行的方式采取决然的脱离,这对一个艺术家并非易事。
In the 1980’s, Shang Yang’s artistic transformation was astonishing and the only one of his generation. Although there was a group of young people who were “85 Trendy”, those were all his student generation. With his master’s graduate work, a mainstream form of painting, Shang Yang is influential oil painter in the country. He is famous in the arts has come a sharp turn, and the moment the mainstream, popular way to take a decisive departure, which is not an easy task for an artist.
