Criticism begins with skepticism, raising one’s foot on affirmation and compliment. This is not contradictory. If a critic does not presumptuously decide on a work or has ulterior secrets, he must first make himself a qualified reader. Suspicion is the primary responsibility and mission of critics, and sometimes it is inevitable that it is also a work ethic - in short, a good critic must constantly face the work QUESTION: What is beauty and what is art? What’s different? Clearly, these questions are not always answered, but there is no doubt that these questions will reinforce critics’ insight and sensitivity to the intrinsic quality of the work. At the same time, these interrogations also ensure that critics do not lose their sharp eyes on critics because of their commitment and love for the work itself.
