写意性是中国画的本质规定,也是中国画最重要的审美标志。从写意性产生的原因和发展历程看,它是中国“儒、释、道”哲学思想在中国绘画中的反映;从审美功用来看,它是中国画区别于西方古典写实绘画最明显的特征。写意精神贯穿了中国画的发展历史,古往今来的画家、理论批评家,无不肯定和推崇中国画的写意精神。历代国画名家、大师无一例外,都是写意圣手。
Freehand writing is the essential requirement of Chinese painting and the most important aesthetic mark of Chinese painting. It is the reflection of the philosophical thought of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in Chinese painting from the reasons and development course of its originality. From the perspective of aesthetic function, it is the most obvious difference between traditional Chinese painting and Western classical realistic painting feature. Freehand spirit runs through the development history of Chinese painting. Throughout the ages, the painters and theoretical critics all affirm and respected the freehand spirit of Chinese painting. Ancient Chinese masters, masters without exception, are freehand saint.
