一个23万人的县城,参军参战人数多达8.5万人,几乎所有的青壮年都上了战场;有5万多人英勇献身,其中经民政部门核实姓名身份的烈士就有23179人,在二万五长征路上,有12038位兴国籍红军牺牲,平均每一公里倒下了一位兴国籍烈士,兴国一地牺牲的烈士就占了全国的六十分之一,江西省的十分之一,“模范县”、“烈士县”成为兴国骄傲的代号。
A county of 230,000 people participated in the war with as many as 85,000 troops. Almost all of the young and middle-aged people were on the battlefield. Over 50,000 people were heroically dedicated. Among them, 23,179 were martyrs who verified their names by the civil affairs department, On the Long March, there were 12038 Xing nationality Red Army sacrifices, and an average of one kilometer of nationality martyrs were fallen down. The martyrs who sacrificed themselves to rejuvenate the country accounted for 1/60 of the country’s total and one-tenth of Jiangxi’s , “Model County ”, “Martyrs County ” became the code of rejuvenating the country.
