类风湿病是一种以关节炎为主的慢性全身性免疫性疾病,除关节损害外,全身各器官均可受累。目前对类风湿病关节外损害的报导日渐增多,心血管系统的损害发生率高,死亡率也随之增高,但长期以来,人们对类风湿病的关节外病变,尤其心血管病变的认识不足,或者否认类风湿对心脏的损害。近代Lebowitz等的研究揭示了类风湿病的心脏损害,相继许多学者都有类似发现,但这种损害仅是病理检查时发现,而临床仍无特征性诊断依据。近10年来应用超声心动图检查,类风湿性心脏损害已成为临床可以认识的问题。
