浙江大学文化遗产研究院承担的国家社科基金重大课题《石窟寺考古中3D技术的理论、方法和应用研究》课题的立项、进行都得到学术各界支持,表明这一课题契合了当前石窟寺考古领域希望解决3D技术应用中出现问题的迫切需求,同时表明自然科学技术正在广泛参与到社会科学领域,如何恰当应用、融合、促进、提高,应提到社会科学议事日程。通过须弥山考古实践案例,课题组初步认识到,考古工作者和数字技术工作者的无缝合作、互动,是石窟数字考古实施和成功的关键;宏观测量信息与微观测量记录信息的数字融合,具有多重方法论意义;浙江大学自主研发的基于多图像的3D数字测量技术是可满足石窟寺洞窟记录需求的数字技术,实现了数字化技术从测量工具到石窟寺全息记录新手段的蜕变;数字化石窟寺考古工作,使未来将中国乃至世界的石窟寺遗址在相互关联的整体架构中进行审视和研究成为可能;专门化的数字技术和技术标准、规范是石窟寺数字化考古方法推广的关键。解决了石窟寺考古中3D数字技术应用的问题,或可能给石窟寺田野考古带来革命性变化。
