我区1976年试种杂交水稻,经过1977年的多点示范,表现为优势明显,增产显著.1978～1981年,推广面积从100多万亩扩大到200多万亩,亩产连续四年稳定在800斤以上水平.1981年种植236.9万亩,单产847斤,总产20亿斤,单产和总产都达到和超过历史最高水平.在大面积推广杂交中稻的几年中,还涌现了一批高产典型.高邮县1981年种植37.68万亩,单产916斤.该县郭集公社13500亩杂交中稻,单产1006斤.泰兴县永安公社胜利大队,1980、1981连续两年种植700多
