五指山市位于海南岛中南部五指山腹地,原名通什市,今年7月,经国务院批准,更名为五指山市。五指山市平均海拔316米,总人口10.7万人,其中农业人口5.7万人,市区人口5万人,总面积1168平方公里,下辖4个镇、5个乡和1个国营农场。五指山市是原海南黎族苗族自治州首府所在地,是海南省旅游资源最集中的地区之一和海南热带山地风光旅游的中心城市,属于海南省六大旅游中心系统,其独特的热带自然景观、独特的气候条件和独特的民族风情闻名中外,具有不可取代的旅游开发价值。境内象征
Wuzhishan is located in the hinterland of Wuzhishan in central south of Hainan Island. It was originally named Tongshi City. In July this year, approved by the State Council, Wuzhishan changed its name to Wuzhishan. Wuzhishan City, an average of 316 meters above sea level, the total population of 107000 people, of which 57000 agricultural population, the urban population of 50000 people, with a total area of 1168 square kilometers, administered 4 towns, 5 townships and 1 state farm. Wuzhishan is the capital of Hainan’s Li-Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
