《中国农业百科全书》是全面荟萃农业科学技术知识的大型工具书,是为振兴我国农业和农村经济、实现农业现代化服务的一项图书出版工程。《全书》共设25卷31册,选设条目2万余个,配有插图和彩色图片1万余幅,合计篇幅约为3600万字,是我国当今荟萃古今中外农业科学技术知识最为完备的一部工具书,在1988～2000年全国辞书编写规划中列为重点工程之一。自1987年首次出版了农业气象卷和水利卷后,至1992年底已出版12卷15册。本文试图对《全书》的性质和特色作一简要的评介。
The Encyclopedia of Agriculture in China is a large reference book that comprehensively summarizes agricultural science and technology knowledge and is a book publishing project that serves to revitalize our country’s agriculture and rural economy and to realize agricultural modernization. The book consists of 25 volumes and 31 volumes, with more than 20,000 entries, more than 10,000 illustrations and color pictures with a total length of about 36 million characters. It is one of the most complete sets of knowledge of agricultural science and technology in China and abroad Ministry of reference books, in 1988-2000 national dictionary planning as one of the key projects. Since the first volume of agricultural meteorological volumes and water conservancy volumes was published in 1987, 12 volumes and 15 volumes have been published by the end of 1992. This article attempts to make a brief comment on the nature and characteristics of the Book.
