受国务院西部办综合规划组的委托,中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所组织了“西部开发重点区域规划前期研究”课题,该课题同时被列为中科院知识创新工程重大项目。根据中央关于西部开发的战略部署和国务院西部办要求,他们在以往大量科学研究积累的基础上,通过对西部重点地区深入的调查和严格的数据分析,完成了“西部开发重点区域规划前期研究”报告。本刊摘登该报告的部分观点。
Commissioned by the Comprehensive Planning Section of the State Council for the Western Region, the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has organized a project entitled “Preliminary Study on Key Regional Planning in Western Development”, which is also listed as a major project of Knowledge Innovation Project of Chinese Academy of Sciences. According to the central authorities’ strategic plan for the development of the western region and the requirements of the State Council’s Western Office, on the basis of a large amount of scientific research accumulated in the past, through thorough investigations and rigorous data analysis in key western regions, they completed the “Preliminary Study on Key Regional Planning in Western Development” report.
