For understand the incidence and risk factors of hyaline membrane disease (HMD)article analyzed 145 premature infants. It has found that 21 cases developed HMD and 14. 7% of the total newborns. The frequency of HMD was higher in males than in females. The incidence of HMD with different week of gestation differed greatly. It showed that for 28-30, 31-32, 33 -34, 35-36 weeks of gestation were 38. 46%, 20% 14. 8%, 4. 17% separately. It was ana- alyzed in statistics by Logistic regression the development of HMD have direct relation with week of gestation, weight of birth,degree of asphyxia (Apgar score), cesarean section, pre- mature rupture of the membrane and using dexamethason before infant birth(p<0. 01).
