清代总理各国事务衙门作为非正式的政府衙门在中国近代历史上主政清王朝外交40年。很长时间以来,人们认为总理衙门的设立便利了列强控制中国的内政外交,忽略了它在中国外交近代化以至社会近代化过程中扮演的重要角色。
As an Informal Government Yamen in the Modern Chinese History, the Yamen, the Prime Minister ’s Affairs in the Qing Dynasty, Registed for 40 Years in Diplomacy during the Qing Dynasty. For a long time people believed that the establishment of the premier’s Yamen facilitated the powers’ control of China’s internal affairs and diplomacy and neglected its important role in the process of China’s diplomatic modernization and social modernization.
