2006年12月4日,应中共中央对外联络部的邀请,以美国共产党主席萨缪尔·李奥纳多·韦伯(Samuel Leonard Webb)为团长,美共全国执行副主席贾维斯·泰纳(Jarvis Tyner),美共全国副主席、美共劳工委员会主席肯尼斯·斯科特·马歇尔(Ken-neth Scott Marshall)、美共全国委员、国际部书记帕梅拉·萨佛尔(Pamella Saffer)女士等代表团一行4人,访问中国社科院马克思主义研究院和世界社会主义研究中心。双方就马克思主义在世界范围的传播、美国共产党的发展状况、未来世界社会主义与资本主义展望等问题进行了广泛和有深度的交流。
On December 4, 2006, at the invitation of the CPC Central Committee’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Communications, headed by Samuel Leonard Webb, the chairman of the United States Communist Party, the National Executive Vice President of the United States, Jarvis Tai Jarvis Tyner, Vice Chairman of the U.S. Communist National Committee, Ken-neth Scott Marshall, Chairman of the Labor Committee of the United States Communist Party, Pamella, member of the U.S. National Committee and International Department, Ms. Saffer and her delegation visited the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the World Socialism Research Center. Both sides conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on the spread of Marxism around the world, the development status of the U.S. Communist Party, future world socialism and the capitalist outlook and other issues.
