The advance toward Jiangxi was a strategic task accomplished by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Min-Zhegan People’s Guerrilla Column in the first half of 1949. This is a strategic decision made by the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee of Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangxi Provinces in accordance with the objective requirements of the situation of the National Liberation War and the specific conditions of the province’s struggle against the enemy. In early 1949, all three major campaigns ended in victory. With the rapid development of the national liberation war, they broke through the KMT’s line of defense in the Yangtze River, marched southwards and liberated all of China.
