擎天树是在广西发现的一种经济价值高,用途广,生长颇快,大有发展前途的热带稀有珍贵的龙脑香科新树种。为在我国热带、南亚热带地区因地制宜地推广发展擎天树,近年来我们进行了育苗繁殖试验,初步积累了一些经验,现介绍如下: 一、种子育苗1.采种据初步调查,擎天树开花结实较晚,一般在胸径达40厘米以上才开花结实,而且是相隔2—5年开花结实1次。开花期在7—9月中旬。树上花、幼果、嫩果和成熟果同时存在,果实成熟期参差不齐,持续时间长达3个月左
