1、问题的由来: 晚唐诗人杜牧(803-852)《过华清宫绝句》云:“长安回望(?)成堆,山顶千门次第开。一骑红尘妃子笑,无人知是荔枝来。”诗中咏述的唐玄宗宠幸杨贵妃,命驿马奔送鲜荔枝的一真实历史事件。大诗人杜甫(712-770)多次说:“忆昔南海使,奔腾献荔枝。”“先帝贵妃今寂寞,荔枝还复入长安。炎方每续朱樱献,玉座应悲白露团。”天宝末年进士鲍防对此亦有诗云:“五月荔枝初破颜,朝离象郡夕函关。雁飞不到桂阳岭,马走皆从林邑山。”大史家司马光在《资治通鉴》中亦说:
