Motorola与AMD两家公司的技术合作已超越了相互授权的范围。AMD公司声称,Motorola公司已着手准备为其生产即将推出的K7微处理器。 Motorola为AMD生产芯片的合作源于本月所宣布的已达成的协议,两家公司将共同开发研制铜基半导体芯片,以期共同负担迅速高涨的半导体研制经费。
The technical cooperation between Motorola and AMD has gone beyond mutual licensing. AMD claims that Motorola has set out to prepare for the upcoming K7 microprocessors. Motorola’s partnership to manufacture chips for AMD stems from the agreement announced this month that the two companies will work together on the development of copper-based semiconductor chips to co-fund the rapidly growing semiconductor development effort.
