在古文献中,若想找寻关于古籍形制、装帧和修复方面的资料,是一件颇费周折而鲜有收获的事情.它们或一鳞半爪,或只言片语,散见于几篇非专门的论述文字之中,极不系统.民国以来,随着书籍制度的革命性变化,旧时的古籍已成为具有学术、艺术和历史文物等多重价值的珍贵遗产,因而探讨古籍形制、装帧等专题的论著逐渐增加,且日见深入,就连昔日被视为末技者,如装潢、装订和修复等项,如今也已成为高等院校专业课程中的内容,如书籍装帧、文献保护学、图书和档案保管技术学等等.为了比较全面地反映民国以来上述几个相关专题的研究进展状况,特将历年来从多种书籍和报刊中检索到的有关论著、资料和信息编成索引.
