Nanjing Forestry University, formerly known as Nanjing Forestry College, is located in the foothills of Zijin and Xuanwu Lake. It is a key forestry institution directly under the Ministry of Forestry of the People’s Republic of China. When the institute of national higher education was adjusted in 1952, The University Department of Forestry was formed. In September 1955, the Department of Forestry of Huazhong Agricultural College, which was amalgamated by the former three schools of Wuhan University, Nanchang University and Hubei Agricultural College, was reorganized into the Nanjing Forestry College and became a professional institute
