李长瑞同志在《中国花卉盆景》杂志1989年第8期发表的《根艺创作九忌》(以下简称“九忌”)一文,读后很受启发。但其中有些观点有研究和商榷的必要。比如作者提倡“删繁就简”,反对“雕刻、造型”,肯定根艺而否定根雕或把根艺列为上品,而把根雕贬为劣品等等观点,笔者不敢苟同。

However, some of these ideas are necessary for research and discussion. For example, the author advocates “cut the fan to Jane” against “carving, modeling”, affirming the root art and denying the root carving or root art as the top grade, while the root carving belittle inferior goods, etc., I do not agree.
