The changes of serum total cholesterol levels in some occupational groups in Beijing from 1981 to 2001 were analyzed. On the basis of striving to achieve the standardization of blood lipids, the changes of total cholesterol in 47,434 people in some organs and enterprises in Beijing in 20 years were retrospectively analyzed, and the statistics were grouped by year, sex and age. The results showed that the total cholesterol level increased significantly from 1981 to 1988, the average age-adjusted male rose 0.73mmol / L (28mg / dL), women rose 0.62mmol / L (24mg / dL). Reaching the highest level in 1990 and lower in 2001 than in 1991, with the mean adjustment of male and female ages falling back to 0.21 mmol / L (8 mg / dL) and 0.23 mmol / L (9 mg / dL), respectively. The total cholesterol level of men and women increased with age. From youth to the elderly, men increased by about 20%, while women increased by 35%. The upward trend was basically the same. There was a significant difference between men and women in different age groups. The number of adolescent men was greater than that of women. The increase rate of mid-aged women increased from 3 to 40% from 40 to 49 years old to 50 to 59 years old group, while the female up to 14%, little increase after 60 years of age. So the level of total cholesterol is higher in males than in males before the age of 50 and in females after 5 0 are higher than those in males. Taking 1985, 1991 and 2001 as examples, the age-standardized high cholesterol detection rate [total cholesterol ≥5.17 mmol / L (200 mg / dL), ≥5.69 mmol / L (220 mg / dL) and ≥6.0 2 mmol / L (240 mg / dL) in 1991 were significantly higher than those in 1985, but they were similar in 2001 and somewhat lower in 1991
