Preface Feng Village Reservoir is located in the middle reaches of Qingyu River, about 14 km north of Sanyuan County in Shaanxi Province. The dam is a homogeneous earth dam with a height of 30.75 meters and a length of 840 meters. The drainage area of the reservoir area is 177.0 km 2. The dam has a water depth of 11.2 meters and an effective storage capacity of 11.25 million cubic meters. Although completed in November 1970, the reservoir was not cut off due to the strong seepage of sand and gravel from the dam foundation.
