Taboo is almost completely forgotten by modern civilization, but why should we repeat the taboo? Taboo is to prohibit people’s behavior or certain words. From the point of view of origin, taboos are a product of ancient people’s low thinking ability, fear or fear of the mysterious natural forces. In a sense, taboos are equivalent to ignorance and superstition, and they are concessions and tolerance to the mysterious power outside of one’s own capabilities. Therefore, under the domination of the “scientism of scientism” prevailing in the intellectual circles in the first half of the 20th century, taboos have been abandoned as opposites of science and the loss of taboos has become a dominant social phenomenon. Abandoning the taboo norms constraints, people find that the ideal of “people’s victory” is transformed into reality. In other words, the loss of taboo indicates the progress of social civilization.
