翻译是操不同语言的民族之间交流思想、进行交往的一种手段，是一种语言活动。理想的翻译应该是一门艺术，译者必须先掌握一种语言所表达的思想、感情和风格，然后运用一定的翻译技巧，用另一种语言把它们表达出来。本文就英汉文学翻译中的一些技巧作部分归类，试图说明文学翻译除了要忠实原作内容，还要尽力体现原作风格，使读者能从译文中领略到原作的艺术特色。
Translation is a means of exchanging ideas and engaging people in different languages. It is a language activity. The ideal translation should be an art. The translator must master the thoughts, feelings and styles expressed in one language and then use some translation skills to express them in another language. In this paper, I classify some of the techniques in English-Chinese literary translation in an attempt to show that in addition to being faithful to the content of original works, literary translation tries its best to reflect the style of the original works so that readers can appreciate the artistic features of the original from the translation.
