培养和造就德才兼备的专业技术人员队伍,大力弘扬爱国主义、实事求是、拚搏奉献的精神,这是我国科技工作者一直追求的崇高境界,也是经济、科枝事业繁荣发展的重要保证。去年以来,党中央一再强调领导干部一定要讲政治。乍一看,似乎与专业技术人员关系不大,其实所有的党员和干部都要讲政治。江泽民同志在十四大报告中指出:
Cultivate and bring up a contingent of professional and technical personnel with both ability and political integrity and vigorously carry forward the spirit of patriotism, seeking truth from facts and fighting for sacrifices. This is the lofty goal that our scientists and technicians have been pursuing. It is also an important guarantee for the prosperity and development of the economy and science branch. Since last year, the party Central Committee has repeatedly stressed that leading cadres must talk about politics. At first glance, it seems that there is not much to do with professional and technical personnel. In fact, all party members and cadres must talk about politics.
