The Design Department of Guangxi Academy of Arts, can bedated back to 1960 when the College set up the class of arts &design. In 1995, the Design Department was formally estab-lished on the base of the Department of Arts & Craft. As theincreasing demand of various design personnel arising fromthe rapid economic growth, the Department, has grown out oftwo disciplines set up when first founded into a big comprehen-sive department, offering disciplines of packaging design, envi-ronmental art, advertising, dyeing pattern, fashion design, deco-rative arts, fashion design & performance, computer-assisteddesign, interior design, architecture modeling andmanufacturing, thus forming a multi-level education of polytech-nic school, senior college, undergraduate and graduate.
