随着台州撤地设市和台州港口城市性质的确定,经交通部水规院专家论证,台州市大港口规划初露端倪:发展中的台州港以海门港为中心,健跳港、大麦屿港为两翼。港口功能幅射至台州四县两市三区以及温州北部、宁波南部和金华市东部的市、县。为适应跨世纪、新起点、高标准建设台州港的需要,日前台州市人民政府作出决定:将海门港务管理局更名为台州港务管理局,港市同名,港城共荣。 台州地处浙江中部沿海,辖4县2市3区,人口520万。该市海岸线长达1026公里,占浙江沿海岸线的四分之一;由北向南分布着21个海港和河口港,码头岸线50余公里,已建泊位93个;1994年吞吐货物总量840余万吨,其中海门港吞吐454万吨;现辟有海门至香港、海门至横滨集装箱班轮及大麦屿港对台经济贸易区;沿海货运南达三亚、广州、福州,北至上海、天津、大连,西进长江中下游各港口。 总体规划认为,台州湾的海门港、乐清湾的大麦屿港、三门湾的建跳港系台州三大水上门户。根据各港口自然条件、生产力发展水平,台州港所辖三个港口的功能及发展方向各
