March 26, 1991 to 30, agricultural science research work conference held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The chief officials from 49 prefectures and cities, county agricultural institutes (stations), vegetable institutes and provincial research institutes (departments) of the province attended the conference. Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences Dean Dong Qingzhou made a speech entitled “forging ahead in unity, making new contributions to agriculture through science and technology”. He summed up the achievements and experiences gained by the agricultural science system in the province since the Seventh Five-Year Plan and put forward the basic idea of the agricultural scientific research plan for the period of the Eighth Five-Year Plan and the three practical things to focus on in 1991.
