古印度的摩揭陀国,即今日印度比哈尔邦迦耶城(Gayā)的南郊,矗立着一座著名的佛塔,名佛陀迦耶(Budda Gayā)。在方形台座的中央是一座高达五十多米的方锥体砖塔,塔身布满佛龛雕刻,塔顶安装铜瓶;四隅是四座与它相似的小塔,东面凸出一个小殿堂。中国人把这种塔叫做金刚宝座塔。金刚之名源出印度佛经(《俱舍论》、《金刚仙论》等),是梵文 Vajra 和巴利文 Vajira 的意译,意思是坚硬无比,永远不坏。传说释迦牟
The ancient Indian Mokto kingdom, the southern suburb of Gayā in today’s Bihar, India, stands with a famous stupa named Budda Gayā. In the center of the square pedestal is a square-cone brick tower with a height of more than 50 meters. The tower body is full of Buddha carvings and the top of the tower is equipped with copper bottles. The four quails are four small towers similar to it, and a small hall is projected to the east. The Chinese called this tower the King Kong Tower. The name of King Kong derives from the Buddhist scriptures of India (“Abandon House Theory”, “Viagra”, etc.) and is a translation of Sanskrit Vajra and Palivan Vajira. It means hard and unbreakable.
