In order to improve the quality of steel and improve productivity, we must improve the control of converter smelting, especially from the top to the molten steel oxygen injection control. This paper studies the kinetics of carbon oxidation during the second injection. The kinetic characteristics of the carbon oxidation process in the converter bath were studied at the Neo Lipetskaya No.2 workshop. Studies have shown that the initial carbon oxidation rate increased rapidly; stabilization time and conversion time were 12-18s and 24-30s. When the oxygen consumption decreases, the decrease of carbon oxidation rate tends to be gentle, stable time and conversion
