Zandkopsdrift稀土矿开发项目位于南非北开普省,计划今年起进行勘探和开发,2016年实现年产2万吨稀土的目标。为了从根本上解决供需不稳定问题,也为急剧增长的韩国需求预留空间,去年底矿物资源公司联合国内著名大型企业,成功购得项目10%的股份。本文除详尽描述了Zandkopsdrift项目的资源、技术和经济之外,还叙述了韩国人对该项目的重视态度和动作思路。
The Zandkopsdrift Rare Earth Mine development project is located in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa and is scheduled to begin exploration and development this year with a target of producing 20,000 tons of rare earth in 2016. In order to fundamentally solve the problem of supply and demand instability, but also to reserve space for the rapid growth of South Korea’s needs. Last year, Mineral Resources Corporation, a well-known large-scale domestic enterprise, successfully purchased 10% of the shares of the project. In addition to a detailed description of the resources, technology and economy of the Zandkopsdrift project, this article also describes the Koreans’ attitudes towards the project and their actions.
