In the study of the biography of Christopher Marlowe, first-hand historical materials have always played an indispensable role. However, on the one hand, due to the lack of historical materials, on the one hand, due to the subjective interpretation and over-interpretation of limited historical materials by biographers, the image of Marlowe in the 20th century presents an unprecedented diversity, the report of the coroner who died of Marlowe, Marlo’s anecdotes and other anecdotes once became important critics of biographical interpretation of important texts. The purpose of this article is to explore the question of how to use and even limit the historical evidence of Marlo’s biography in the writing of Marlow’s biography.
