Recently, the ViaSat Inc. VR-12Ka band satellite dish system has passed the industry standard DO-160G test and is in compliance with FAA and international regulations regarding the electrical and electronic equipment installed on commercial aircraft. This standard applies to almost all types of aircraft, covering general aviation and business jets, helicopters and commercial jets, as well as civilian aircraft converted government machines. Test standards include temperature, altitude, vibration, dust, input power, RF sensitivity, lightning protection and electrostatic discharge and other requirements. The VR-12Ka antenna system and the accompanying ViaSat mobile satellite modem provide commercial and military Ka-band over-the-air satellite communications, including a wide range of broadband applications such as military intelligence, video surveillance and surveillance (three ISRs). Previously released VR-12
