中國的雜技節目,自從一九八一年十二月第一次参加法國巴黎世界第五届‘明日’杂技馬戲比賽,到一九八六年一月的第九届,連續獲得五届比赛的金獎中的首獎——法蘭西共和國總統獎,並在第八至十一届蒙特卡洛國際馬戲比賽和英國第十届世界雜技錦標賽中獲獎。這標誌着中國雜技藝術進入了一個新階段。對此中國雜技工作者協會主席夏菊花評價說:‘中国雜技技巧高難,表演細腻,動作編排巧妙,每一個節目都體現着中華民族勤勞、智慧、勇敢的精神風貌。因此它能在中國發展兩千年而不衰,並受到許多國家人們的喜愛。’
