老鸛草又名五叶草、五瓣花。“滇南本草”卷下所載的五叶草,原書註明又名老鸛草;即“本草綱目拾遺”卷五所記述的老鸛草。二書記述的性質和效用也相类同。“本草綱目拾遺”載:“老鸛草,龙柏葯性考补遺,出山东。味苦微辛,去風疎經活血,健筋骨,通絡脉,损伤痹症,麻木皮風,浸酒常飲大有效;或加桂枝、当归、紅花、芍药等味。入药用莖嘴。”“滇南本草”載:“五叶草,出京都者良,名老鹳草,治筋骨痰火症。河南衛輝亦出。性微温,味苦辛,祛諸風,皮膚發痒,通行十二經絡。治
