1998年5月20日,在北京第一机床厂,朱镕基总理同来自北京几家国有大中型企业的厂长经理们亲切座谈。看到座中不乏朝气蓬勃的年轻人,总理露出笑容,说:出乎意料。 1995年至今,北京市工业系统把1700余名年轻干部推上厂处级以上领导岗位。占现有大中型国企干部总数的27.04%,其中有近300人担任了党政“一把手”。这当中,30名局、总公司级年轻干部平均年龄38.8岁,研究生以上学历9人;1700名厂处级年轻干部平均年龄39.1岁。35岁以下的占18.8%。有1/4具有研究生学历或在职读研究生。
