范长江同志是我国著名的新闻记者,是新中国新闻事业的创始人之一。解放初期,他曾任新华通讯社副总编辑、人民日报社长等重要职务。最近全国记协主席团、书记处作出决定,设立范长江新闻奖,以奖励我国优秀中青年新闻工作者。这是我国新闻界一件有意义的活动。范长江的记者工作经验十分丰富。抗日战争初期,他是党领导下的“中国青年新闻记者学会”的领导人,又是当年党的新闻事业机关“国际新闻社”的社长。他深知记者工作的 Comrade Fan Changjiang is a famous journalist in our country and one of the founders of the journalism in New China. In the early liberation, he served as deputy chief editor of Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily and other important positions. Recently the National Association for the record of the Bureau, the Secretariat made a decision, the establishment of Fan Changjiang News Award, to reward our outstanding young journalists. This is a meaningful event for our press. Fan Changjiang’s work experience with reporters is very rich. In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, he was the leader of the “China Youth Journalists Association” under the leadership of the party and the president of the “News Agency of the International News” of the party’s news organization that year.
