和平与战争的搏斗一个星期来又达到了新的高峰。中国人民志愿军与朝鲜人民军在朝鲜把美国侵略军逐到了卅七度线,越南人民军新的攻势获得了辉煌的胜利,西欧各国人民用行动反对艾森豪威尔组织统一侵略军,这些英勇的斗争行动,都直接严重地打击着侵略者扩军备战的计划。而我国周外长向联合国第一委员会(政治委员会)提出四点严正的建议,又使得帝国主义阵营内部的恐慌、争吵和分裂更形严重了。和平处处在胜利着,和平的力量处处在壮大着,帝国主义者却陷於一天比一天困难的境地。周外长的四项建议美国侵略者仍然把从侵朝败局中解脱的希望寄托在“停火”阴谋上。自从我国拒绝和非法组成的三人委员会接触之俊,这个委员会又於一月十一日向联大政治委员会提出关於解决朝鲜问题的“基本原则”的补充报告,政委会於十三日通过这项报告,并把它转达我国中
The fight for peace and war has reached a new height in a week. And my Foreign Minister Zhou made four-point solemn proposals to the First Committee of the United Nations (the Political Committee), further aggravating the panic, quarrel and division within the imperialist camp.
