Jianning was one of the key counties in the Central Soviet Area during the Agrarian Revolutionary War. After the victory of the second “encirclement and suppression” campaign in the summer of 1931, Jianning established the Red Regime - the County People’s Revolutionary Committee and the five central districts and 72 townships in the Soviet power.
