2014年暑假,“钢铁之夏——国际青年金属雕塑创作营”在太原举行。活动为期一个多月,来自包括中央美术学院在内的,世界各大美术学院的79名学生,在技师和助手的帮助下,创作了大型直接金属雕塑178件。到目前,青年金属雕塑营已经举办了四届,共创作350多件作品。这些原创性很强的作品,从质量和数量上,都是非同凡响的。其中部分优秀作品,已经放置到了城市中心地带和风景区。在取得初步成果的同时,雕塑营的模式也在提醒我们反思金属
Summer 2014, “Iron Summer - International Youth Metal Sculpture Camp” was held in Taiyuan. For more than a month, 79 students from major art schools around the world, including the Central Academy of Fine Arts, created 178 large-scale direct metal sculptures with the help of technicians and assistants. Up to now, the youth metal sculpture camp has been held for four times, creating a total of more than 350 works. These highly original works, both in quality and quantity, are extraordinary. Some of these outstanding works have been placed in the heart of the city and the scenic area.
