早在1994年广东省版权局主办的首届全省软件保护研讨班上,与会者就倡议,为推动广东地区的计算机软件保护,在广东地区建立由官方、商人、学者三方面组成的社会团体:广东省软件保护联合会(暂名)(见本刊1994年第6期).1994年12月,在由BSA、广东电脑商会、广东省计算机用户协会、《电脑》杂志社联合主办的广州—深圳软件保护国际研计会上,这一建议再次被提出,并具体讨论了筹备工作(见本刊1995年第1期).今年1月23日,在广东省版权局举行了第一次筹备工作会议,对建立软件保护的社会团体,作了进一步的讨论.广东省版权局有关负责人出席会议并作了讲话.出席这次会议的有广州、深圳、珠海、佛山、东莞等地的中外软件开发、经销、使用单位的代表共30人.
