为迎接我们中华人民共和国成立二周年国庆节,中央文化部文物局特联合北京历史博物馆,清华大学营建系,中国营建学社等单位,举办了‘伟大的祖国建筑展览’,由十月一日起在北京历史博物馆午门楼上正殿展出。内容仅由中国原始社会起至现代的各种伟大建筑。在结合着发扬爱国主义精神下,由这个展览,可以是使广大的人民群众认识到我们劳动先民在建筑艺术方面的伟大成就,更由此激发起爱国的热情,因之又能是我们注意保护我们祖
