今天在中国,称呼一个妇女为“某太太”,或说她是个“家庭妇女”,已经很少,而且令人感到不习惯。因为这种称呼往往使人联想到旧中国依附丈夫、没有独立人格的妇女。现在,绝大多数的妇女都已就业。无论在社会上,还是在家庭里,她们同男人一样,享有平等的权利。许多妇女在工作中还以出色的成绩,赢得了社会的尊敬。
Today in China, it is seldom and unacceptable to address a woman as “a certain woman” or as a “domestic woman.” Because this name is often reminiscent of the old China attached to her husband, there is no independent personality of women. Now, the vast majority of women are employed. They enjoy the same rights as men, both in society and in the family. Many women have also won the respect of the community with outstanding achievements in their work.
