Objective: To investigate the influence of pregnant women before and during pregnancy BMI increase pregnancy outcome. Methods: A total of 360 cases of primiparous single fetus were selected as study subjects. The BMI and the BMI in early pregnancy were less than 4 (Ⅰ group), 4≤BMI≤6 (Ⅱgroup) and> 6 (Ⅲgroup) ending. Results: There was no significant difference in birth weight between cesarean section and newborn before pregnancy (P> 0.05). Before pregnancy, the incidence of BMI in pregnant women with obesity increased by more than 4 during pregnancy (P <0.05) (P <0.05). Before pregnancy, the incidence of pregnancy-induced hypertension and gestational diabetes mellitus were significantly increased in pregnant women with pre-pregnancy BMI increase> 6 (P <0.05) <0.05). Conclusion: The increase of BMI before pregnancy and the increase of BMI during pregnancy are closely related to the prognosis of mother and infant. Controlling the increase of BMI before pregnancy and the increase of BMI during pregnancy can reduce the complication of mother and infant.
